The preservation of our world’s marine stocks is essential to the continuing life of our planet, our species, and our business. By complying with ethical and environmental standards, we seek to give confidence that the wild fish that our customers buy from us is sustainable.

All of our wild fish is sourced from fisheries that meet the internationally-recognized Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) environmental standard for sustainable fishing. We do not buy from illegal sources or illegally-sourced fish. Since 2006, we have held MSC Chain of Custody accreditation (accreditation number MSC-C-50085), meaning that all of our products are fully-traceable. Our suppliers also include a number of local First Nations fisheries in British Columbia, enabling us to benefit from their long-standing indigenous traditions of knowledge and compassion for the sustainable harvesting of our precious natural resources.

To promote conservation, we also support initiatives such as the Vancouver Aquarium’s Ocean Wise™ program, which helps to educate and empower consumers about the issues surrounding sustainable seafood. We have been a supplier partner of Ocean Wise™ since 2008.
